In support of freedom of expression in Malta

Freedom of expression is one of the more fundamental freedoms necessary for a democratic environment to survive. In Malta this freedom of expression, although notionally protected, often comes under sever attack, particularly through the archiac institute of censorship.

I have attested my support to freedom of expression in Malta by signing the online petition chastising the Malta Broadcasting Authority's talibanesque attitudes with respect to the television program Teletubi. I encourage you to do the same by visiting the website http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/teletubi/index.html

Just done now. Am not a big fan of the show, but am signing for against the principle of censorship.
