Lou Bondi and his Bondi+ may be Malta's equivalent of CNN's Larry King Live or BBC Hardtalk, or at least that is what the presenter would like us to believe. Unlike Larry King or Stephen Sackur though, Lou Bondi does not come across as being a neutral interlocutor.
On the whole, however, albeit its manifest bias, with Bondi's not so latent pro-PN agenda, I still find the program to be interesting and worth viewing. After all, it is my philosphopy that it is always better to be aware of what the other side is thinking and scheming.
Yesterday's edition was particularly interesting. It was, in my view, a prolonged exercise of no-comments by Bondi's guest, the Hon. Dr. Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, who somehow managed to sit through the show without providing any concrete answers to the barage of questions from Bondi.
What I found to be particularly revealing however, was that it seemed that this time round Bondi's agenda was different. Rather than treating the Nationalist politician sitting in the hot seat with silk gloves, at times I felt that Bondi's intent was to go for the proverbial jagular.
My analysis of the situation is that the Hon. Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando remains a big problem for the Nationalist Party, and this more so in view of its one-seat majority in the House. Notwithstanding the Attorney General's decision, the fact remains that Dr. Pullicino Orlando's involvement in this saga remains morally questionable, and that there is no doubt in my mind that the PN would feel much more comfortable if they manage to put this issue out of the way.

I don't consider myself to be among Bondi's biggest fans, but yesterday's show was entertaining, to say the least.
Two highlights, if I may. Firstly, JPO referring to the project situated next to his land, and the fact that the other project may very well have ignored and defied environmental expert advice: ''Dawn affarijiet li jirgu Lou". (Well, we all know that happens, but I don't expect an MP to be toeing that line).
The second highlight was JPO's "I'm a big boy Lou". Aha.
(Best regards from Coventry. Was a student in your Rule of Law Class 2003).

Then, why do you think Bondi was so hard on him?
